Hiking
Breckenridge has (at least) 4 beautiful hiking trails to visit. The first one is Black Powder trails with breath taking views of wildflowers and alpine fields. McCullough Gulch has a great view of snow capped mountains that is better for the moderate hiker. The Spruce Creek Trail is a tough but amazing hike. Spruce Creek is easy to get to from Breckenridge. Breckenridge has 2 ice skating rinks that are outside. The Gold Run Nordic Center is open seasonally and has its own rink that is free and you only have to rent skates.
